The Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) conducted physical agility tests of department members Saturday morning during an hour-and-a-half event.

LAFD is seeking motivated applicants to join its upcoming Fire Academy 31. The deadline to apply is Monday, Sept. 26. Individuals considering a career with LAFD are invited to participate in an upcoming physical agility test 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Oct. 1 at Fire Station 2 on DP Road (this is the same test firefighters conducted Saturday.

Every fire department in the state is operating with critical staffing shortages and Los Alamos is no exception.
