Ryan Adams is employed at Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Financial Compliance Specialist. He has children attending elementary, middle and high school. “I have four sons in the district, and am heavily vested in its continued success,” he stated in his letter of interest. He also noted his extensive background and experience in accounting, auditing and compliance, and offers his expertise to benefit the school district.

Tamara Hinckley recently retired from Los Alamos Public Schools. She spent 23 years teaching at the elementary school level, including at Chamisa Elementary School, and three years serving as the district’s budget manager. She noted in her letter of interest her teaching experiences and her time in the business office. “I feel that this understanding of both sides is the most valuable asset that I would bring to the school board,” she stated. “I am committed to working to make LAPS the best district for everyone involved.”

Aaron Walker is also employed at Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Controls Software Scientist, and has children attending Chamisa and Pinon Elementary schools, and the middle school. He has served on several boards and commissions in New Mexico. He stated that he wants “to ensure that the children of our community are getting a great education,” and that “our teachers and support staff are all getting the support they need, financially and otherwise.” He added that “being a listening and caring member of the community is a key factor I would bring to the table.”
