I apologize for the frustration over the weather this morning. The storm moved in after our usual decision making window and we already had buses out and students on their way to schools. We always encourage families to use caution and make decisions that they feel safe with for their situation.

Unfortunately, we were notified of a power outage as students were arriving. The county has restored power in some areas but just informed us that it will be 3-4 hours before power is restored at Barranca, Mountain, Aspen, LAMS. We cannot have students on campus with no power for this long. We will release all schools in Los Alamos at 9:45.

Students at Pinon and Chamisa will have a normal Wednesday release at 12:00.

Please take your time and use caution on the roads if you are picking your student up. School sites will dismiss at normal locations.

Buses will leave elementary schools at 10:00 and the middle school at 10:30. We encourage parents who are able to pick their student up at the school site.

All staff should remain on campus until all students have picked up. After all students are gone from campus, staff may leave. White Rock schools and the High School will follow their routine Wednesday schedule.
