SFCC News:
SANTA FE — The English Department at Santa Fe Community College presents a Fall Workshop Series Sept. 23 through Nov. 12 for writers, teachers, students and Santa Fe community members.
The series is a result of support provided by the Santa Fe Community College Foundation Professional Development Fund. Assistant Professor of English Kate McCahill and Adjunct Professor of English Austin Eichelberger were recipients of the funding and attended the AWP (Association of Writers and Writing Programs) Conference in March.
The annual conference is the largest of its kind in the nation, and brings together educators of all levels, popular and literary authors, publishers and editors. Inspired by the AWP conference sessions, McCahill and Eichelberger will develop and coordinate the free workshop series.
The sessions on the Zoom platform will be led by a panel of writers, educators and journalists.
Participants will need to make a reservation for the individual workshops in advance at https://forms.gle/vKvx2T66nh7jkvMV6. A Zoom link will be sent to participants on the day of the event.
