Sheriffs Capture Tranquilino Valencia In Colorado

PECOS The New Mexico State Police was notified that Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Department in Colorado arrested Tranquilino Valencia for his outstanding warrant from his involvement in a robbery and carjacking in the Pecos area Oct. 13, 2017.
 
New Mexico State Police issued a warrant for Valencia on charges of two counts of armed robbery, receiving or transferring a stolen motor vehicle, aggravated assault, shooting at or from a motor vehicle, larceny, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and possession of a firearm by a felon. 
 
Valencia was arrested by officials in Colorado after he was involved in a traffic collision. Valencia remains in custody in Colorado. The New Mexico State Police are working to extradite Valencia to New Mexico.
