NMSP News:PECOS ― The New Mexico State Police was notified that Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Department in Colorado arrested Tranquilino Valencia for his outstanding warrant from his involvement in a robbery and carjacking in the Pecos area Oct. 13, 2017.
New Mexico State Police issued a warrant for Valencia on charges of two counts of armed robbery, receiving or transferring a stolen motor vehicle, aggravated assault, shooting at or from a motor vehicle, larceny, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Valencia was arrested by officials in Colorado after he was involved in a traffic collision. Valencia remains in custody in Colorado. The New Mexico State Police are working to extradite Valencia to New Mexico.
