THRIFT SHOP News:

The Shop on the Corner at Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church is reopening at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, after being closed immediately after its Christmas Sale in December.

The Shop experienced a flood requiring it to close and address the mess. After hiring a professional cleaning company and many hours of work by volunteers, the Shop has been renovated with a new, industrial look including a concrete floor and moveable metal shelves.

For the reopening, the Shop will be experimenting with a new type of sale. It’s called the “Pay What You Think It’s Worth” Sale. The idea is to select what you like from the inventory of donations in the Shop, and when you come to the check out with your purchases, you pay the amount that you think the items are worth. It seems fitting that in Los Alamos, we also experiment with thrift shopping!
