• It’s Small Business Saturday and local businesses need the community’s support more than ever!

There are so many unique gift ideas right here in Los Alamos! Don’t know where to start?

Los Alamos MainStreet and the Chamber of Commerce have compiled gift ideas, a list of businesses that sell gift cards, and those also participating in the Blue Bucks raffle.

Many local businesses are offering items online, phone orders and curbside pickup (due to the Public Health Order).

Today, shoppers can earn double raffle tickets for every $25 spent at a participating local business and the raffle grand prize is $1,000 cash!

As part of Small Business Saturday, the governor has declared today a tax free holiday for 15 categories of merchandise – including toys, games, electronics and sporting goods – as long as individual items cost less than $500.

On average, 48 cents of each dollar spent locally stays in a community versus 14 cents spent at a chain store, according to studies compiled by the American Independent Business Alliance.

Today’s Small Business Saturday shopping event is an opportunity for the community to support local businesses struggling financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic … to let them know they matter and to help them to stay in businesses! #ShopSmallLosAlamos
