ACRR News:
Alex Smeltzer, 2, was the top predictor in the Atomic City Road Runners (ACRR) weekly pace race held in the Quemazon Complex at 12 seconds off his predicted time.
Other accurate predictors were:
- Sean Thomas with 19 second differential;
- Felix Candia recording 29 seconds off;
- Catherine Hensley with a 48 second difference; and
- Kathie Gattiker at a 55 second differential.
On the 1 mile course:
- Anders Medin, 14, was the first finisher with a time of 8:25; and
- Holly Walker with Iris Geimer, 1, was the best female at 12:46.
In the 3 mile distance:
- Lukas Zavorya was the best finisher recording a 26:43; and
- Madeline Harms was the top female with a time of 36:58.
Next week’s race will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2024 on Barranca Mesa and will start at the junction of Barranca Road and Navajo Road at the end of Barranca Road. The Deer Trap Mesa Trail will have 3 mile and 1 mile trail runs as well as a 1 mile paved run.
