NMDCA News:
The New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs (NMDCA) announces special holiday hours at Museum of Indian Art and Culture (MIAC) and Museum of International Folk Art (MOIFA) on Museum Hill.
Both museums will welcome visitors on three consecutive Mondays, Dec. 20, 27 and Jan. 3. Ordinarily, at this time of the year, the museums are closed Mondays.
The community is invited to bring children, families and out of town guests to experience the treasures of Museum Hill.
In addition, the stores in these museums will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Dec. 20 and Monday, Dec. 27. MIAC features the Colleen Cloney Duncan Shop of Native American craft, jewelry and books. MOIFA offers a wide array of folk art and unique gift items from around the world and an extensive book selection on global cultural traditions.
Note: These special hours apply only to the Museum Hill institutions and not to the downtown museums.
Admission:
- MIAC: $5 For New Mexico Residents, $9 for Non-Residents.
- MOIFA: $7 For New Mexico Residents, $12 for Non-Residents. 16 & Under and Members: Free.
Tickets are available at the door or at each museum’s website, MIAC and MOIFA.
COVID-safe practices are in place, with masks required inside.
