Dane Harris Brings Home Two Silver Medals for Atomic Tumblers

The boys’ competitive team from Los Alamos School of Gymnastics competed in the SAGA Classic in Albuquerque on Feb. 9-10.

Dane Harris, in the Level 4 Junior Division, earned silver medals on high bar (9.4) and vault (9.3) and placed fourth on still rings (9.7.)

Harris was the top all-around scorer for the Atomic Tumblers, with a 53.3, placing fifth.

Charger Aquatics Team Brings Los Alamos Another State Banner!

CHARGER AQUATICS News:

At the end of last weekend’s meet, the Los Alamos Charger Aquatics repeated its sweep taking home another state banner.

Age-group club swimmers from Los Alamos competed March 6-10 in the New Mexico State Short Course Championship meet at West Mesa Aquatic Center in Albuquerque. 

This meet set a new record for the number of swimmers participating in the event, which exceeded 650 kids from across the state.

Two New Mexico state high school champions were crowned March 10 at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center, including one in dramatic fashion.

New Mexico awards championships in two divisions – composite and pure.

Composite teams consist of players from different schools within the same district, while pure teams are comprised of players from only one high school.
