Los Alamos Ice Rink Hosts LAHS PE Classes Dec. 9-12

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos High School PE classes will be held Dec. 9-12 at the Los Alamos Ice Rink during public skate sessions.

Students will participate in three time slots daily:

  • 8:40-9:40 a.m.
  • 10:20-11:20 a.m.
  • 12:35-1:35 p.m.

Public skate will still be available during these sessions, but community members should expect increased activity on the ice.

The Fishing Report will be shorter from now until springtime because many of the streams and lakes are now closed due to winter conditions. 

Anglers who would still like to fish open water for trout and other species should consider a trip to Southern New Mexico.

Topper Swim And Dive Season Off To Strong Start

With a mix of returning swimmers and enthusiastic newcomers, the Hilltopper Swim and Dive Team takes a strong November showing into the Bill Hudson Classic, coming up Dec. 6-7 at the Los Alamos Aquatic Center.

Last month the team kicked off the season at Albuquerque Academy’s Barney Relays with boys placing second and girls third. Next the team went to Taos for a rare head-to-head meet, where both the Boys and Girls swimmers prevailed.
