County Scam Alert: Fake Charity Golf Tournament Solicitations Targeting Local Area Businesses

Local golf professionals are warning businesses to be cautious of a scam involving fake charity golf tournaments.
A woman identifying herself as “Nayda” with Digital Fairways App has been contacting businesses, claiming to be organizing tournaments at courses such as Los Alamos Golf Course, Towa, Black Mesa, Santa Fe Country Club, and others, and seeking donations.
The most recent phone number used is (480) 576-6076, though it may vary.

ELEPHANT BUTTE — With a record-breaking purse of at least $100,000, the 2025 Turtleback Mountain Golf & Resort (TMGR) New Mexico Open has officially earned its place among the Top 10 PGA Section tournaments in the United States based on total purse.
