SANTA FE — Male Mexican wolf 3065 was captured Friday, Nov. 7, north of Interstate 40, north of Gallina.
The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish (NMGF) captured the wolf by helicopter. Afterward, he was returned to the wild in the Mexican Wolf Experimental Population Area (MWEPA) in the Gila National Forest in Grant County.

At its annual convention Saturday at the Clyde Hotel in Albuquerque, the board and membership of the New Mexico Press Association (NMPA) elected Los Alamos Daily Post Owner/Publisher Carol A. Clark to the position of Chair of its Board of Directors.
Clark was first elected to serve on the state press board in 2022. She was elected President and also appointed to serve on the NMPA legal committee with former Board President Nick Seibel of the Silver City Daily Press and Board Member Donn Friedman of the Albuquerque Journal.
