GRANT COUNTY — Aug. 31, 2025, at approximately 3:09 p.m., District 12 Officer Walker Eby responded to a call concerning a vehicle that had overturned on its side due to flooding on Stephens Road, near Buckhorn.
Upon arrival, Officer Eby observed a woman, a six-year-old child, and their dog sitting on their vehicle, which had been overturned by dangerous flooding currents. Governor Signs Emergency Order For Mora County Flooding

SANTA FE — Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham issued two emergency orders on Friday to make $1.5 million in state funding available state agencies responding to the flooding in Mora County.

Valles Caldera Approves New Fire Management Plan

JEMEZ SPRINGS — The National Park Service (NPS) has approved a Finding of No Significant Impact for Valles Caldera National Preserve’s Fire Management Plan Environmental Assessment.
