NMHSD News:SANTA FE ― The New Mexico Human Services Department announced an additional clothing allowance that will help more than 15,000 children throughout New Mexico.
Effective Jan. 1, eligible households will receive an additional $50 per child to buy clothes for the second half of the school year.

DEA Eases Requirements For FDA-Approved Clinical Trials On Cannabidiol

DEA News:WASHINGTON, D.C. ― The United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) recently eased some of the regulatory requirements imposed by the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) for those who are conducting Food and Drug Administration-approved clinical trials on cannabidiol (CBD), an extract of the marijuana plant.

NMDOT Announces Anti-DWI Electronic Highway Signs To Deter Drunk Driving

NMDOT News:SANTA FE ― The New Mexico Department of Transportation announced that for the first time in New Mexico, electronic highway signs will display strategic messages aimed at deterring drunk driving.

IRS Announces Interest Rates First Quarter 2016

IRS News:PHOENIX ― The Internal Revenue Service yesterday announced that interest rates will remain the same for the calendar quarter beginning Jan. 1, 2016, as they were in the previous quarter.
The rates will be:
- 3 percent for overpayments [2 percent in the case of a corporation];
- 3 percent for underpayments;
- 5 percent for large corporate underpayments; and
- 0.5 percent for the portion of a corporate overpayment exceeding $10,000.
