NMHED: New Mexico College Enrollment Continues To Rise

SANTA FE — College enrollment in New Mexico has grown for the second consecutive year, with a 4.2% increase this spring compared to the same time in 2024.

More than 5,000 additional students are now pursuing degrees and certificates across the state’s higher education institutions.

Fraudulent Phone Calls Regarding Arrest Warrants Continue To Surface In The District Of New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE — The United States District Court for the District of New Mexico has recently been notified of individuals being targeted in a court-related scam. The targets have been told they failed to respond to a subpoena issued by a U.S. District Judge and that a warrant for their arrest has been or will be issued. The scammer may ask for personal identifiers or for immediate payment of fines with the assurance this will resolve the warrant. FBI: Canoncito Man Sentenced For Role In Fatal Assault

ALBUQUERQUE — A Canoncito man was sentenced to three years’ probation for his role in the violent 2022 assault that led to the death of John Doe.
