Gov. Susana Martinez unveiled New Mexico’s 30th permanent Heart Gallery Friday at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque.
The digital Heart Gallery features foster children who are available for adoption and helps them find forever families. The number of Heart Galleries throughout the state has doubled to 30 in the last year.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Friday, U.S. Sen. Tom Udall announced that he has reintroduced legislation to extend and streamline hiring incentives for unemployed and disabled veterans.
The VOW to Hire Heroes Extension Act of 2015 would renew and extend the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), which provided employers with tax credits for hiring unemployed or disabled veterans until its expiration in 2014.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich welcomed news Friday that Valles Caldera National Preserve and Santa Clara Pueblo will receive funding under a new national program aimed at restoring the health and fire resilience of iconic landscapes.

Governor Acts On Legislation Passed At Special Session

SANTA FE — Gov. Susana Martinez signed legislation Friday that was passed during the recent special session of the New Mexico Legislature.
House Bill 1, Feed Bill and Supplemental Appropriations, sponsored by Rep. Nate Gentry, R-Albuquerque, provides funding to various legislative agencies to cover the expenses of the 1st Special Session of the 52nd Legislature June 8, 2015.
The bill also provides $300,000 in supplemental general funds to the Administrative Office of the Courts and $4 million to the Department of Health. Read More
