Governor Calls Special Session For Noon Monday
STATE News:
SANTA FE – After two months of political brinksmanship, Gov. Susana Martinez and State Senate leadership have finally agreed upon a list of legislation to take up at a special session at noon Monday, June 8.
Senate leadership says they anticipate the session lasting no more than one or two days.
The legislation to be considered includes the previously killed Capital Outlay bill, which funds capital improvement projects throughout the state. The $265 million expenditure is considered economic stimulus by many communities and also provides badly needed infrastructure.

State Police Warn Of Warrant Fee Scam
NMSP News:
LAS CRUCES – The New Mexico State Police Las Cruces District has received numerous reports from citizens advising they received a phone call and informed they had a warrant for their arrest and were required to pay over the phone a warrant fee to clear the arrest.
The return phone number of the caller was displayed as the New Mexico State Police Las Cruces office.
The New Mexico State Police wants the public across the state to be aware any such requests are a scam and we are investigating these calls as a criminal matter.
