NMDOT Working Hard To Keep Roads Clear
NMDOT News:
SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is working hard to keep state maintained roads safe and clear as snow continues to fall in many portions of New Mexico.
The NMDOT snow removal crews are concentrating their attention on the main thoroughfares (interstates and state highways) at this time as these roads are the heaviest traveled.
The NMDOT has approximately 800 team members on our snow removal crews. They operate in 12 hour shifts around the clock during inclement weather incidents.

Los Alamos Native Is Military Spouse Of The Year

CAPE MAY, N.J. – Los Alamos native Jill Simcox has been selected as the Coast Guard District Five Spouse of the year and has advanced to the semi-final round to be considered for the National Military Spouse of the Year award.
Simcox, whose husband is a Company Commander at U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Cape May, is an active member of the Jersey Cape Military Spouses Club and committee head for its membership. She served as president of the Club in 2013, and has been a member for nearly four years.
