SANTA FE – Con Alma Health Foundation announced today it is awarding $475,000 in grants to nonprofits that work toward sustainable changes that improve New Mexicans’ health.

New Mexico State Police officers were sent to assist New Mexico State Probation and Parole officers Nov. 7 at a residence on Camino De Albino in Taos County.
State Police were informed that the officers where conducting a home visit at Daniel Herrera Jr.’s residence. Today’s prescribed burn scheduled for the Valle Grande on the Valles Caldera National Preserve has been postponed.

SFNF Plans Gallinas Watershed Prescribed Burn

SANTA FE—Fire managers at Santa Fe National Forest are planning to conduct a prescribed burn in the Gallinas Watershed on the Pecos/Las Vegas Ranger District.
The Gallinas Watershed burn may be conducted from Nov. 12, through the month of December only on favorable days as conditions allow.
A total of 1,000 acres may be treated in the Gallinas Canyon area approximately 20 miles northwest of Las Vegas. Small blocks may be treated each day to decrease the daily smoke volume.
