NMDCA 53rd Annual Historic Preservation Awards May 16

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Historic Preservation Division is hosting the 53rd Annual Historic Preservation Awards, which celebrate the best historic preservation projects of the last year.

State’s Advanced Energy Award Pilot Program Awards $3.3 Million To Support New Mexico’s Advanced Energy Industry

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Economic Development Department (EDD) announced that five advanced energy companies were awarded $3.3 million through the state’s Advanced Energy Award Pilot Program to support innovation and commercialization.

LAHS Junior Wren Hammond Wins 2025 Congressional Art Competition

Los Alamos High School junior Wren Hammond won the 2025 Congressional Art Competition for Teresa Leger Fernandez’s District 3. Wren’s artwork, “Celebrating Diversity the New Mexico Way,” will hang as part of the Congressional Exhibition of National Winners at the US Capitol in Washington DC for one year.  

Wren will travel to Washington DC for a ceremony honoring the national winners and will have a tour of the Capital including the exhibit. She will also have the opportunity to meet with Congresswoman Leger Fernandez.

FBI: Dulce Woman Charged With Aggravated Abuse

FBI News:

ALBUQUERQUE — A Dulce woman has been charged with aggravated sexual abuse and abandonment of a child after an FBI investigation revealed allegations that she repeatedly sexually and physically abused minors over several years.

According to court documents, Muniz is charged with aggravated sexual abuse and abandonment of a child and will remain in third party custody pending trial, which has not been set. If convicted of the current charges, Muniz faces up to life in prison.
