New NIST Tests Explore Safety of Nanotubes in Modern Plastics Over Time

Exposed to intense ultraviolet light and high temperatures, samples of epoxy containing multiwalled carbon nanotubes deteriorated. Exposure tended to destroy the epoxy, but on the surface remained a network of nanotubes, which NIST tests indicated were less damaged than the epoxy over time, ranging from approximately 6 months (A) to 18 months (B) to 4 years (C) in subtropical conditions. Heinrich: Declassify Report Detailing CIA’s Interrogation Program

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich, D-N.M., a member of the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, is calling for a full and transparent accounting of the CIA’s interrogation program and full declassification of the committee’s study on the program.

Last year, the Senate Intelligence Committee voted to adopt the study, which is a 6,000-page comprehensive review of the Bush administration’s CIA interrogation program based on a documentary review of more than 6 million pages of CIA and other records. Read More

FBI Offering $1,500 for Information on Murder

The FBI is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the death of Roland A. Cantsee.

The body of Cantsee, 45, of Shiprock was found Nov. 27, 2011, in a field approximately eight miles north of the Flowing Water Navajo Casino, in Hogback, N.M. on the Navajo Indian reservation.

The cause of death was determined to be blunt impact trauma to the head. Cantsee had been reported missing by a relative Nov. 26, 2011, after not being seen since Nov. 11, 2011.
