The North Central Regional Transit District (The District) is proposing a series of bus route modifications designed to improve mobility and connections following a period of service reductions implemented in 2021 due to staffing shortages as a result of the Pandemic.
To better serve Blue BusTM riders, the District proposes to suspend the 500 Tribal Combined and restore the original individual routes which it replaced. This change will improve connectivity and ensure more direct access for tribal communities and restore service to Los Alamos.

Department Of Health Accepting Applications For Birthing Workforce Retention Fund

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) is accepting applications for the Birthing Workforce Retention Fund now through Friday, April 18.
The fund provides grants to Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNM) and physicians (OB and Family Medicine) who provide full scope perinatal care, including birthing services, and need assistance to cover malpractice insurance premium costs.
Up to $10,000 is granted per provider from the fund, administered by the NMDOH Maternal Health Program.

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Economic Development Department (EDD) kicked off 2025 with approximately $5.4 million in job training awards for January and February, Cabinet Secretary-Designate Rob Black announced today.
The approved amounts for EDD’s signature Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) can assist up to 170 new trainees and interns and 51 current employees.
