The state Supreme Court Tuesday issued an order suspending Albuquerque attorney Thomas Clear III from the practice of law.

SANTA FE — The Santa Fe National Forest has announced two upcoming office closures that will affect the public. The offices will not be open to visitors or sell passes/permits on these days, please plan accordingly.
The closures are:
- Monday, Feb. 17 – All Santa Fe National Forest offices will be closed for Presidents’ Day and will resume business hours Tuesday, Feb. 18.

Bill To Bolster CYFD Transparency May Address Long-Standing Information Woes

A bill aimed at closing gaps in data collection by the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department that have spawned public outcry about the agency’s transparency in recent years is making its way through the Roundhouse.
House Bill 203, sponsored by Rep. Meredith Dixon, D-Albuquerque, calls for CYFD to implement an information system that provides hourly backups of records produced or received by workers by the beginning of next year.

State Department Of Health Scientific Laboratory Confirms First Measles Case Of 2025 In New Mexico
NMDOH News:
SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) is alerting Lea County residents of the days, times and locations where they may have been exposed to a person with measles.
The NMDOH Scientific Laboratory has confirmed a measles infection of an unvaccinated Lea County teenager. NMDOH is working with the patient’s family, Nor-Lea Hospital and the local school district to assure all contacts are up to date with their measles vaccinations. Two doses of measles vaccine are 97% effective against disease.
