STEMarts Lab News:

The STEMarts Apprenticeship program is designed for girls residing in Northern New Mexico (ages 14-19). Apprentices receive a $1,000 stipend to discover and develop their creative interests and gain valuable 21st century work skills in this year-long paid apprenticeship. They learn from artists, scientists and experts in the field as part of an international team and traveling installation called Space Messengers.

This unique STEAM program is designed for girls/female-identifying individuals that are:

  • Interested in exploring at the intersection of art, science and technology
  • Curious about the mysteries of the universe and want to know more about space exploration and how space technologies can improve our lives on earth
  • Excited to create art with digital technologies, coding, virtual reality and other innovative 21st century creation tools
  • Ready to discover new STEM/STEAM career pathways that you never imagined such as a space lawyer, futures thinker, XR designer, scientific visualizer or satellite engineer
  • Looking for international experiences and travel opportunities
  • Seeking paid internships, mentorships, and learn-to-work opportunities that help build their resume for college and build professional work skills
