Youth Business Grant recipient Elise Koskelo will wrap up her summer, all pun intended with a booth at Fuller Lodge this weekend.
The Los Alamos High School student owns Blueprint Wraps and said she had a very productive summer, in terms of sales and efforts.
“I added 14 more pieces to my inventory using unique yarns, as well as increased my media availability on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Weebly,” Koskelo said. “I am on track for increasing my sales this year and I am looking forward to sharing my wearable art with fashion savvy customers.”
Koskelo has worked hard on a multi media approach to spreading the word about her work in the community, creating a variety of virtual stores. Shoppers are now available to reach her via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and at the address, blueprintwraps.weebly.com.
The approach allows viewers to browse through a full selection of her inventory in the virtual store, learn about the history of her business and why she loves her job. The page has a variety of tabs to learn about her, upcoming events and comment on her blog.
“It is an opportunity for customers to share their feedback about my products, make suggestions, ask questions, and discover what makes my products unique,” Koskelo said.
This weekend she offers several specials featuring a “jewel style” wrap that she designed and created with a, “double-sided box stitch,” that showcases a geometric quality that enhances the colors of the yarn. The pattern allows each piece to cast a shimmer in the sunlight, similar to stained glass.
“The jewel wraps are perfect for any dressy occasion whether that is at the office, at a party, or on a date,” she said. “They are light and luxurious … perfect for summer!”
The weekend booth will feature more than 35 wraps and shawls for customers to choose from, each is a one-of-a-kind. The craftsman never uses the same yarn twice, so a customer can be reassured that their fashion statement is unique and authentic.
She has eight pieces available for purchase in the new consignment boutique, NU 2 U. The selection offers a variety of jewel yarns, cottons, and silk blends that can work in summer, winter, spring and fall. This is one entrepreneur that can save you in a pinch, when you need a beautiful handmade gift that can be picked up locally.
“I’d like to wrap-up by thanking the many customers who have encouraged my business as well as the local youth business grant for their generous support,” Koskelo said.
