The Food Depot’s Neighbor To Neighbor Fund Drive Sets Ambitious Goal For 2024

The Food Depot News:

SANTA FE – Registration is now underway for The Food Depot’s largest fundraiser, the Neighbor to Neighbor Fund Drive. Groups across Northern New Mexico are invited to register, donate, and learn more about the fundraising competition at thefooddepot.org/n2n. Neighbor to Neighbor 2024 is presented by TechSource, Inc.

All proceeds from the 13th annual fund drive will benefit The Food Depot, Northern New Mexico’s only food bank. In 2023, the community-wide fundraiser raised nearly $400,000 for hunger-relief efforts across The Food Depot’s nine-county service area. The goal for 2024 is to exceed $400,000.

“Year after year, we are deeply moved by the extraordinary generosity of our community. The Neighbor to Neighbor Fund Drive has blossomed, delivering over a million meals last year alone. I am filled with hope and excitement for the incredible impact we will achieve together in 2024,” said Jill Dixon, The Food Depot’s Executive Director-Elect.

Neighbor to Neighbor began as a food drive in 2011 before transitioning to a fund drive during the pandemic. As a fund drive, all donations go directly to supporting The Food Depot’s innovative programs and network of partner agencies across Northern New Mexico. For every $1 donated during Neighbor to Neighbor, The Food Depot can provide up to four healthy meals.

Starting June 3rd, neighborhoods, businesses, schools, and community groups can register online to participate in Neighbor to Neighbor. Until September 23rd, groups will raise funds for The Food Depot in a friendly competition. Winning teams in different categories will be announced in early October. Individuals are also welcome to participate by donating directly to The Food Depot’s hunger-relief efforts as “Friends of The Food Depot.”

Thank you to 2024 Neighbor to Neighbor sponsors: Bell Rock Consulting LLC, Cafe Pasquals, Santa Fe By Design, and TechSource, Inc. The Food Depot is still accepting business sponsors to highlight during the fundraiser.
