Thomas Cuthbert Paints Car And Lift Spirits In Los Alamos

Los Alamos resident Thomas Cuthbert recently spent two weeks painting his car, which has been lifting spirits all over Los Alamos. Cuthbert explained that he sees car as a ‘visual poem’ and that ‘creativity is a healing tool’.  Cuthbert was inspired to paint his car by this peom: ‘Chai yafe hoz. Shuach shacal shalanan. shalat shalash, chohu. tamah. mahar bagod. yachir yerach yashan. miyit, mevuchah, midbar. mot mizrah. ametz orev. esriim paz pruch. paliah, psil palah, pachach, precedent, tzaah, tziyon, kovah, kotzer, razan, hodu, hadar, zcucit, chozeh, chacham, chus, esh, atzareretz, arimon, mashcit, nalah.sefer’ … ‘Life is the most beautiful wealth I muse pensively and circumspect on our times and am ease. I govern this triple world, and there is really nothing. One day at a time I live with a sense of wonder at all things. This life is a precious gift, cherished in splendor, this old lunation, hundreds and void. I am the king of the desert, the ravens, the bees. Twenty and gold. I paint the secrets, this is my work. observing the screens and transparency around me. I am the desert, the belly. I am king. See all with joy with wisdom this stargazer.
