Memorial Day is very special to me. It is a day where we honor the brave men and women who have given their lives in service of our nation. When called upon to act, the courageous few have stepped up to defend our nation, and in turn, made the ultimate sacrifice to protect us. I cannot be more grateful and humbled by their sacrifice, and I thank them for their service.
Memorial Day is a time of reflection. While we enjoy spending time with family and friends, enjoying BBQs and good weather, we must remember what this day is about. Occasionally, some may take for granted the cost of freedom in this nation. Memorial Day is an opportunity for us to acknowledge their sacrifice and honor those brave men and women.
I wish you and your family well on this Memorial Day. And I want to thank the men and women who have paid the ultimate price to protect our nation. Your sacrifices have not gone unnoticed, and we are eternally grateful.
