UCLA News:

Summer VBS (Vacation Bible School) is being reimagined at the United Church of Los Alamos (UCLA) as a Summer Family VBS—Vespers, Bible Study and Supper for all ages. Come one, come all, 5:30-7 p.m., Thursday, July 24, when Musica Antigua de Albuquerque will perform a short musical program.

Rev. Laura Loving will be speaking about the liturgical year, going through the seasons of the church year, looking at Advent, Lent, Eastertide, Common Time, etc., and the troupe will be performing medieval and Renaissance selections that were composed for use during the principal liturgical seasons.

The event is open to the public, and all ages are welcome to attend, starting at 5:30 p.m., in the sanctuary at the United Church at 2525 Canyon Road. The event includes supper and an informal prayer & vesper service that ends by 7 p.m.

Registration is not necessary, but let Rev. Loving know the number and age of those attending at 262.853.4138 or lalsfnm@gmail.com. Contact the church office at ucoffice@unitedchurchla.org, or 505.662.2971, or visit www.unitedchurchLA.org.

Since 1978, Música Antigua de Albuquerque has been performing medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music with period instruments. Thursday evening, July 24, they will be performing at The United Church, assisting VBS participants in learning about the Seasons of the Church Year. All are welcome!
