ALBUQUERQUE — The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History is thrilled to announce the return of its popular Discover STEAM Day! This exciting event offers a unique opportunity for families to explore the fascinating world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) through fun, hands-on activities led by local experts.
Mark your calendars! Discover STEAM Day is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at the Museum at 601 Eubank Boulevard Southeast in Albuquerque.
What awaits you at Discover STEAM Day?
- Engaging and Creative Activities: Test your flying skills, delve into the wonders of rocket science, learn what makes airplanes fly, test your skills in making a plastic bag hot air balloon, learn about the power of AI computing, and so many more STEAM activities.
- Learning & Fun for All Ages: With a wide range of interactive exhibits and demonstrations, Discover STEAM Day is designed for visitors of all ages. Whether you’re a budding scientist or just curious to learn more, you can explore the world of STEAM at your own pace, focusing on the activities that pique your interest.

“We invite families to mark their calendars and join us for hands-on exploration and excitement at Discover STEAM Day. This annual event is a great way to inspire kids to explore STEAM fields,” said Gabriel Nemiroff, Director of Education at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. “We have planned activities to bring science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics to life, allowing participants to be curious and explore new things.
Upon participating in the interactive activities, attendees will receive a custom Discover STEAM Day button as a memento of their enriching experience.
