Residents of Los Alamos, White Rock and Española will be receiving the UNM-LA Community Education schedules for Fall 2014 in their mailboxes any day now. Schedules are also available in newsstands in Los Alamos and White Rock.
The list of classes for the fall semester will appeal to everyone interested in exploring their creative side with classes in digital photography, painting with acrylics or watercolors, and drawing.
Those keen on the Greek classics will enjoy exploring the Ancients Alive Series featuring Homer’s Odyssey. The class lineup also includes classes in retirement planning as well as how to make the most out of your Social Security and Medicare benefits. The popular Professional Development series will help students become more proficient in Excel, improve customer service, and deal with stress management in the workplace.
UNM-LA also has partnered with The Center for Legal Studies to offer classes preparing students to take the MBA entrance exam, and GMAT, GRE, LSAT and SAT/ACT exams. Students can also earn their Paralegal and Legal Secretary Certificates, study Intellectual Property Law, and take a Legal Nurse Consultant training course.
