The UNM Lobos men’s basketball team hosted the Boise State Broncos – the number one ranked team in the Mountain West Conference – Friday night at The Pit in Albuquerque.
The Lobo’s started the match slow but gradually gained momentum ending the first half trailing 31-37. The second half was a different story with the Lobos leading 72-69 with seconds remaining.
With four seconds to go, Broncos Forward Tyson Degenhart made a three-point basket to send the game into overtime. The Lobos started overtime strong, shutting down the Broncos offense.
Morris Udeze put up the final basket for the Lobos to secure the overtime win 81-79.
