Mark the calendar for the week of Nov. 13-18 to stop by the Betty Ehart Senior Center (BESC) for its annual Festival of Trees. Santa will pay a visit, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 18, at the Betty Ehart Senior Center. Participants also are invited to do holiday shopping, drink hot cocoa and enjoy some sweets.

It might seem odd to consider drinking cocoa when it’s over 90 degrees outside, but people can’t start their holiday shopping/thinking about shopping too soon.

What is there to look forward to this year? Pictures with Santa of course, a silent auction of more than 80 items, a raffle with many chances to win, live music, a poinsettia sale and of gift ideas many from local artists including the center’s own fabulous quilters.

People will also be able to pick up unique New Mexico gifts for those who live far away.
