VILLAGE ARTS News:
More than 40 new, wild, whacky and whimsical creatures grace the walls of Village Arts, and they need an audience!
These colorful critters are fun and fantastical and it is clear that Village Arts has an imaginative crowd of artists coming through the doors! Many of the creatures are looking for new homes, so be aware!
Dragons, goats, birds, cats, hippos, whozits and whatsits might just beg to come home. The depth and breadth of artwork on display is noteworthy. Artists range in age from younger than 5 to older than 90 and work in media as diverse as felt and fiber, stained glass mosaic, wood, etching, batik, clay, marker, watercolor, collage, digital media, acrylic and more.
Artwork from Out on a Whim will be on display through Aug. 6, so there’s plenty of time to come back for repeat visits and to get inspired for Village Arts next show “What I Did On My Summer Vacation”.
Make sure to stop in and vote for your favorite piece, which will give artists a chance to earn a gift certificate to keep them well supplied in art materials.
Village Arts is planning many more exciting shows and other interactive opportunities and encourages anyone and everyone to add their names to the email list by sending a message their way on any platform, and to check out social media on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date with all the fun!
Village Arts at 216 DP Road, is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
