The White Rock Senior Center is offering Wood Carving Instruction for Beginners – concentrating on the whittler starting Dec. 7.
There are three levels of wood carving. If the product would sell for less than $25, that is a whittler. If the product would sell for $25 to $100, that is a carver. If the product would sell for more than $100, that is a sculptor.
The current wood carvers group, primarily John Tubb and Fred Minshall, are proposing a series of workshops on how to get started in carving wood. These workshops a 1/2 hour long starting at 11 a.m., Monday of scheduled date. The instructors will be at the White Rock Senior Center.
