Co+op Market News:
Looking for new ideas for home-made holiday food gifts? Or perhaps a new culinary skill? How does making your own yogurt, sauerkraut or kimchi sound?
Ray Joggerst presents a “Wild Fermenting” class at 1 p.m. today, Dec. 10 at the Los Alamos Co+op Market. Participants will learn about fermenting many types of food and receive Piima Culture starters.
With a master’s degree in chemistry and experience in bioscience, Joggerst approaches cooking from the perspective of a scientist, while also enjoying traditional cooking methods. He has been fermenting vegetables, milk, bread and beer for more than a decade.
Sign up at the Co+op: $20 for Co+op members, $25 for non-members (pre-payment required at sign up).
