Seeking to minimize the difference between their predictions and actual running and walking times, most participants were surprised that they moved much faster than predicted.

The best predictor was Zach Medin (33 sec. error) followed by Paul Elkins (45 sec.), Jackie Marr (60 sec.), and Georgia Pedicini (66 sec.).

Fastest male and female on the three mile course were Ted Romero (19:10) and Roxana Candia (23:22) while the fastest on the one mile course were Tad Hughes (7:31) and Heather Hughes (11:41).

Next Tuesday’s pace race will be at 6:00 p.m. and feature one and three mile courses on pavement starting at Rocket Park on Sherwood Boulevard in White Rock, across from Smith’s grocery.
