Zia Credit Union is celebrating all things local as part of its “Think Like a Local” campaign. Each month focuses on a different aspect of local business and life. In the month of October, Zia CU is hosting what it calls Free Fall Festivities, 1-4 p.m., at each of its three branches and everyone is invited.

The events are aimed at providing free fall-themed fun for kids. Activities include photo stations, crafts, free apple cider from Velarde-based Montoya Farms, and local honey from Alcade-based RZ Bees. Honey sticks will be free for kids, while RZ Bees will have jars of honey for sale. Zia CU members will receive a Buy 1 Get 1 Free coupon for jars of honey, just for banking New Mexico style at Zia.

• 1-4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 25 – Los Alamos Branch, 1001 Central Ave.
• 1-4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26 – Santa Fe Branch, 111 N. St. Francis Dr. 
• 1-4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 27 – Española Branch, 707 Riverside Dr. 

All community members are invited to come to Zia Credit Union’s branches to participate in the fun. While Zia members will receive a coupon for the honey, everyone is welcome to purchase.
