COUNTY News:
Los Alamos County officials will host an online Q&A session noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16 on Zoom for individuals and Los Alamos Childcare Facilities and State Certified Home-based Childcare Providers located in the County to provide more information about the CARES Act grants available to individual County residents in need of childcare assistance.
Social Services staff will be available to answer questions about the assistance program, as well as answering questions regarding the virtual learning assistance program that is currently open to residents.
The final deadline to apply for either grant assistance program under CARES is 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20.
Facilities which may have families enrolled are encouraged to have their staff attend to learn about eligibility requirements and are further urged to assist the County in passing along outreach information about these two programs to families who use their programs or services.
Any individual interested in applying for either program also is encouraged to attend the meeting on Monday.
