Los Alamos Little League’s Marlins and Yankees squared off at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 8, at Byers field in White Rock.
The first two innings were a draw as neither team managed a score. Then in the third inning the Marlins broke the stalemate with a run, and followed up with five more in the fourth inning and four more in the fifth inning.
The Yankees mounted a comeback in the fifth by scoring four runs. This comeback attempt was not enough; the Marlins went on to win the game 13-6.
