
Adventures of a Mathematician Writer/Director Thor Klein and Producer Lena Vurma at a special, behind-the-scenes presentation of their film Monday afternoon at Fuller Lodge. The public will have an opportunity to view the film at 7:30 p.m. today at Fuller Lodge. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Klein and Vurma. Tonight’s exclusive premier of the film Adventures of a Mathematician is moving indoors due to inclement weather. The film was originally going to be shown at Ashley Pond. It will be released nationwide by Samuel Goldwyn tomorrow.
Tickets were released earlier via EventBrite. Seating is limited in Fuller Lodge, however, so ticket holders are encouraged to arrive no later than 7 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. showing. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Those without tickets will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis after 7 p.m. The event is being presented free of charge.
Los Alamos served as a hub for research for the filmmakers of Adventures of a Mathematician, which is based on Stan Ulam’s autobiography and provides an engaging account of the top-secret Manhattan Project.
Presented by Los Alamos County and the Los Alamos Historical Society, the film will be followed by a Q&A with writer/director Thor Klein and Producer Len Vurma, both of whom spent extensive time in Los Alamos while researching for the film.
