Notice is hereby given that the Board of Adjustment of the Incorporated County of Los Alamos, State of New Mexico, has directed publication of their scheduled meeting to be held on Monday, August 22, 2022, beginning at 5:30 PM, at the Los Alamos County Municipal Building: 1000 Central Avenue, Los Alamos, New Mexico 87544. 1. Case No. WVR-2022-0118. Joseph Strehlow and Priscilla Hare, property owners/applicants, are requesting a dimensional waiver to expand an existing attached deck into the required rear setback. The property, BM501002, is addressed as 680 Los Pueblos, Barranca Mesa 5 Subdivision – Unit 1, and is zoned Planned-Development (PD-3.5).
2. Case No. WVR-2022-0119. Lori Rigg, Agent, on behalf of Karen Rigg, property owner, is requesting a waiver from the requirement in Sec. 16-273 that states that only two accessory structures be allowed at a R-1, single-family residential lot to allow for a chicken coop in the back yard. If approved, the residence would have 3 accessory structures in the back yard. The property (EA2 219) is located within the Eastern Area 2 Subdivision, an R-1-8 District, and is commonly known as 60 Manhattan Loop, Los Alamos, NM 87544.
