Libertarian Phillip Mach files for New Mexico House Dist. 43 this morning at the Municipal Building. Mach, who has lived in Los Alamos for three years, said he decided to run for the seat because, ‘I think it is important that we have a contested election’. He added that he believes the Libertarian Party will have  a contested primary, ‘which is exciting’. The seat is held by Democrat Christine Chandler who is seeking re-election.
