Arrrgh!  It’s International Talk Like a Pirate Day and Los Alamos County is celebrating! The Los Alamos County Community Services Department is thrilled to be helping ye landlubbers learn pirate talk and have pirate adventures.

The fun starts today and will continue next week.  Los Alamos Community Services Department and partners will celebrate a pirate’s life with events for all ages at numerous community locations. Special floats, a movie, a bouncy house at the Aquatic Center, a treasure hunt at the Nature Center, pirate movies at Betty Earhart, pirate dress-up at Family Strengths Network, and pirate stories, crafts and practice talking real pirate talk at Mesa Public Library are all part of the fun.  

Come practice your best “shiver me timbers!” and celebrate a pirate’s life with us!
