SANTA FE — The Lensic Performing Arts Center launches its new season of Lensic Presents with two back-to-back shows. The iconic funk and soul band Tower of Power kicks things off with a night of horn-blasting hits at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6. Acclaimed Canadian folk band The Wailin’ Jennys will perform their dreamy, heartfelt melodies at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 7.

Please know that I welcome children in my space! I have designed my business with kids in mind. Art was such an important part of my own childhood and I have spent years working with kids making art as a LAPS employee and volunteer.

“The Secret Garden” blooms for the next week at Los Alamos Little Theatre (LALT). The book on which the play is based is a beloved classic published in 1911 by Frances Hodson Burnet. The book was adapted for the stage by our very own Mimi Adams of Los Alamos, who also directed the play.
Adams has brought a number of children’s classics to the stage, including “A Wrinkle in Time” and “The Never-ending Story”. Adams never ceases to amaze and delight. Read More

SANTA FE — The Santa Fe Opera (SFO) will present the world premiere of This Little Light of Mine, a new opera about the life of voting rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer beginning Oct. 28.
The one-act opera is composed by Chandler Carter with libretto by Diana Solomon-Glover. Under development since 2017, the piece is commissioned by the Santa Fe Opera and its Opera for All Voices (OFAV) consortium partners.
