The museum is phenomenal in many ways and a must see if you are a baseball fan. NEW YORK — Earlier this month, the Metropolitan Opera premiered a new installment in its series of abridged, English-language opera adaptations for family audiences: Massenet’s Cinderella.

The opera will be presented live New Year’s Day 2022 from the Met stage to cinemas worldwide.

SANTA FE — David Felberg conducts the Pro Musica Orchestra in a concert of Mozart and Mendelssohn, along with the live premiere of The History of Red, 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30 at The Lensic.

Baritone Zachary Nelson Steps In For Darren Drone For ‘A Night At The Opera’ Performance Christmas Eve!

SANTA FE —The Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus and Santa Fe Opera announced late Monday evening that baritone Zachary Nelson would step in for Darren Drone, who is unable to perform in the Christmas Eve performance of “A Night at the Opera” this week at The Lensic.

Nelson, who resides in Santa  Fe, is a former Santa Fe Opera Apprentice and frequently appears with the Opera, including its 2019 production of La bohème and 2017 production of Lucia di Lammermoor. Dance Arts Los Alamos To Open New Studio Downtown!

After looking for a more central location for their classes in Los Alamos, Dance Arts Los Alamos (DALA) has announced they have leased a new dance studio space at 1650 Trinity Dr., Suite 115.

DALA Director Jonathan Guise said he and the DALA Board have been working on this for the past several years as their dancers and families have long requested a space closer to the downtown with convenient parking and better amenities.

Local Streetlights Turned Off For Farolito Viewing Dec. 23-27

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Traffic & Streets Division will be turning off the power to various streetlights to enhance the viewing of holiday farolitos.

The streetlights will be turned off Thursday, Dec. 23 and restored Monday, Dec. 27. 

For safety purposes, the Traffic & Streets Division requests that all vehicles and trailers be moved to off street parking during the full period that lights will be off.
