Water Coil Bursts At National Hispanic Cultural Center

NHCC News:

ALBUQUERQUE – Early this morning at the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) at 1701 4th St., a water coil in the HVAC unit on the roof of the Visual Arts building burst, causing water to leak into the floors below.

New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs facilities staff was on site soon after the break was discovered, waterlines were turned off to limit the spread of water and emergency remediation has begun.

The Visual Arts building and the NHCC Art Museum will be closed to the public until further notice.

Teatro Paraguas is pleased to present Coyote Acid, a one-act play by Santa Fe-based poet John Macker.

Rounding out the evening is a reading by actors of Out of The Light: Poems from Prison, a collection of poems chosen by John Macker by renowned poets from around the world written from or about prison.

SANTA FE — Santa Fe Community College’s (SFCC) Visual Arts Gallery presents the exhibition, “Paintings and Poetry: The Center Cannot Hold,” which opens 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27.
