Los Alamos Phi Beta Kappa Announces 2021 Scholarships

The Los Alamos Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa has awarded $1,000 scholarships each to 2021 Los Alamos High School graduates Filippo Delzanno and William McTeigue.

Delzanno will be studying physics at the University of California / Santa Barbara in the College of Creative Studies.

McTeigue will be studying biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in preparation for medical school.

Film Office Announces TV Series American Migrant Workers To Begin Production In New Mexico

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Film Office (NMFO) announces that new television series, American Migrant Workers produced by Triangle U Studios, will film in Albuquerque, Las Cruces, Truth or Consequences and Navajo Lake beginning in June through October 2021.

The production will employ approximately 10 New Mexico crew members, 20 New Mexico principal actors, and 20 New Mexico background actors.

New Mexico Music Commission Working To Fill Void Caused By COVID-19 Pandemic Across State

DCA News:

SANTA FE — In January 2021, the New Mexico Music Commission launched the Rural County Outreach program in 30 of 33 counties across the state.

Commissioners will serve as liaison for these counties to identify two music-related service projects to fill a void in the area’s music industry due to stoppages and closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

To support rural counties in their recovery, commissioners will research the music industry in their adopted counties, compile a list of key music industry stakeholders, monitor the music scene and report major events to the music commission Read More
