SANTA FE — The English Department at Santa Fe Community College presents a Fall Workshop Series Sept. 23 through Nov. 12 for writers, teachers, students and Santa Fe community members.

The series is a result of support provided by the Santa Fe Community College Foundation Professional Development Fund. Assistant Professor of English Kate McCahill and Adjunct Professor of English Austin Eichelberger were recipients of the funding and attended the AWP (Association of Writers and Writing Programs) Conference in March.

LAHS Symphonic Strings Orchestra Receives All-State Honors

The Los Alamos High School Symphonic Strings Orchestra has been recognized as the January 2021 All-State Honor Orchestras Ensemble by the New Mexico Music Educators Association (NMMEA).

Since the All-State performance will not be held in person, LAPS team members will collaborate to create a video of the students’ work, which will be showcased Jan. 7, 2021 virtually.

Continuous Pathways Foundation Awards NDI NM $5K Grant

NDI News:

SANTA FE — NDI New Mexico was awarded a $5,000 grant in March from the Continuous Pathways Foundation in Pojoaque.

The funding was used to support NDI New Mexico’s programs in Pojoaque and the Española Valley during the end of the 2019-20 school year.

NDI New Mexico’s North Program serves 545 Northern New Mexico children and 9 public and BIE elementary schools through participation in NDI New Mexico’s transformative outreach in-school and advanced training programs.
